Starfield College, Fagba, Lagos at its annual Christmas carol and party for students, parents and staff celebrated the 2025 success as well as appreciated God for the grace, favour and protection on the school.
Speaking at the event, Director of Studies (DOS), Starfield College, Mr. Chris Eigbe said the annual event which started in 2014 was to give the students, parents and staff an avenue to appreciate God for a successful academic year and performance of the students, teachers and parents’ patronage.
He revealed that the students look forward to the fun filled event every year, adding that in organizing the event the school made sure it is a blend of Christmas carol and end of year party fill with fun and exciting gifts.
“The school organize the Christmas party and Carol because it serves as a form of thanksgiving to God, for a successful year. The occasion brings the college management, the children, staff and parents together to celebrate and unwind after going through rigours and a successful academic session.”

Eigbe noted that students of the college did well in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and they are in various universities in pursuance of their dream courses.
In her remarks, the Principal, Mrs. Sara Oyinloye, said the school is celebrating two things, Christmas and the end of a successful academic session, with outstanding students’ performance.
She reiterated that the event in an opportunity to thank God for the success recorded in 2025 and thus the need to celebrate together as one big family.

“We have gathered to thank him for his grace and academic performance of our students. The presence of parents is an indication that we are one family and they are happy with the college because of their children’s performance.
“We want to assure our parents that we will continue to give our best to the children because they are the reason we are here,” she said.
A parent, Dr. Ziza Senewo in her remarks stated that her children look forward to the annual Christmas party and Carol.
She said: “The school is doing well. It is good to bring together parents, the children and staff to celebrate Christmas together. You can see that the children and parents are having great fun.”
As part of activities of the Christmas party and Carol, the college management held a raffle draw and parents, students went home with prizes such as Deep Freezer, Water Dispenser, standing fans, foodstuffs, cooler, groundnut oil, sandwich maker and bags of rice, among others.
