President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo as the Chief Executive Officer/Director General Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement issued on Thursday.
Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, hails from Esie in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State and was born in Lagos.
His educational journey includes O’Levels at Birch Freeman High School, Surulere, Lagos, and a first degree in Economics from Ogun State University.
Dr. Fadolapo holds three Master degrees, including MSc in Marketing, Master in Business Administration (MBA), and Master in Legal Studies (MILS) from Babcock University, Ilisan, Ogun State, the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, and Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos State, respectively.
Additionally, Dr. Fadolapo holds a PhD Degree in Marketing with a specialization in Marketing Communications from Babcock University, Illisan Remo, Ogun State.
He is a Registered Advertising Practitioner, a Chartered Accountant, and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Dr. Fadolapo’s reinstatement comes as a testament to his exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to the advertising industry.
He will continue to steer ARCON towards its mission of ensuring ethical practices and regulatory oversight in the advertising sector.
Other DG appointed for various parastatals and agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation include Nigerian Television Authority (NTA)’s Director-General / CEO, Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos
Also, Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace, who will lead the Voice of Nigeria (VON) as Director-General/CEO; Mr. Ali Muhammed Ali, the newly appointed Managing Director/CEO of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and Mr. Dili Ezughah, who takes on the role of Executive Secretary/CEO of the Nigerian Press Council (NPC).
The distinguished executives taking on key roles in various agencies include: Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu, appointed as the Director-General/CEO of the National Orientation Agency (NOA); Dr. Muhammed Bulama, who will assume the role of Director-General/CEO of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and Mr. Charles Ebuebu, the new Director-General/CEO of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
