Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Lands Bureau Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, received government officials from Plateau State on a familiarisation tour of the State Lands Bureau on Wednesday.
In an address to the delegates, Olowoshago mentioned that the State Government automated its land registrations and transactions processes to understudy global best practices and in line with the ThemesPlus agenda of the State government that emphasises the use of technology for economic growth and transformation.
The Permanent Secretary reiterated that the Bureau has the goal of ensuring maximal utilization of available land resources in the State for sustainable development, in addition to entrenching a culture of excellence that will ensure prompt and efficient service delivery in the State.
In his words: “Our vision is to ensure efficient and effective land resources management that promotes equitable access to land, enabling environment for land delivery, land information and positively contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of the State.”
He further expressed his gratitude and commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his unflinching support for all the Bureau’s initiatives and the confidence reposed in Lands Bureau as a key player in the realization of the THEMES Plus Agenda.
The Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning, Plateau State, Barr. Peter Nyam who led the delegates hinted that the visit was in recognition of Lagos State’s excellence in Legal, land administration matters to mention a few.
He appreciated the Permanent Secretary and the entire staff of the Bureau for their warm reception while assuring that the skills and knowledge gained from the visit will help them to improve their performances and enhance their service delivery to positively impact the growth of Plateau State.
