His Imperial Majesty, Arole Oduduwa, Oonirisa Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11, the Ooni of Ife, Osun State has announced that Ojaja University, in Ilorin, Kwara State will be commissioned on October 12, 2024.
The Oonirisa, who is the chief promoter of the University stated this during the annual Olojo festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State at the weekend
The Oonirisa informed dignatories that had gathered to celebrate the successful completion of the festival with him that Ojaja University is a knowledge-driven institution that will significantly deploy modern instructional facility to deliver top notch teaching, research and character development to prepare the students for their future role as nation builders.
Speaking on his major motivation, the monarch said that he was always out to help the youth develop, “I am a champion of the youths. I champion their cause, I breathe the youth. I do everything that has to do with the youth. And, I do not have any regret for that”.

He added: “I live for people every day of my life and I’m always ready to help the youth because they are the ones that will change the country’s narrative. That is why what we do at Ojaja University is we celebrate innovation. It is a citadel of learning committed to the promotion of innovation”.
The Olojo festival is an annual festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State where the sons and daughters of the ancient town, and indeed all Yorubas gather to celebrate and commemorate the descent of Oduduwa to Ile-Ife.
