The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Khalil Halilu has reiterated his commitment to delivering on Presidential priorities.
He stated this while receiving briefings from the Managing Directors of the Agency’s ten Development institutes located in Jalingo, Akure, Ilesha, Awka, Okene, Minna, Nnewi, Nassarawa, Kano and Enugu.
According to a statement signed by Mr. Segun Ayeoyenikan, the Agency’s Director of Information, NASENI EVC tasked the management staff to suggest innovative ideas on how NASENI can efficiently support the initiative and priorities of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu such as switching of petrol and diesel-powered vehicles on a large scale to other sources of energy to reduce the cost of living for Nigerians.
Furthermore, Khalil stated: “Our Institutes are the engines of NASENI’S innovations and these briefings by each Institute are critical as we work together to craft the future of NASENI, as it relates to delivering on the President’s socio-economic agenda”.
To close up the week, the EVC/CEO paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Chief Uche Nnaji, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abuja.
He also met with a young Nigerian innovator based in Maiduguri, Borno State, Gajibo Mustapha, who specialises in converting petrol-fired vehicles to use gas and solar energy.
