Alhaji Mohammed Idris, The Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation has endorsed the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) led Advertising Industry Rebranding Nigeria Initiative.
According to a statement release by Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, ARCON, signed by the Director-General, ARCON, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, the minister said the Rebranding Initiative has the innate potential to unlock new opportunities, elevate national pride and foster positive engagement within and outside the country.
He further added that it is a multi-faceted Integrated Marketing Communication process that needs proper planning, research, insight and effective execution of a detailed protocol.
It should be recalled that ARCON set up a committee, headed by Mr. Steve Babaeko, the President, Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) with representatives from all the relevant stakeholders.
“The Committee has been mandated to examine the country’s brand DNA with the aim of developing communication that will resonate with our people, promote our cultural divert and enhance our nation’s value and ethics.”
Sequel to the above, ARCON is requesting from the advertising practitioners, stakeholders and general public, inputs, insights, strategy documents that can enhance the assignment of the committee.
