In a celebration tagged: ‘Shine a Light,’ the Inner Wheel Club of Isolo marked a significant milestone, of a century of impactful community service.
The event, which took place recently in Lagos showcased the club’s unwavering commitment to empowering the community.
The celebration was witnessed by distinguished guests, including Honorable Mrs Iyabo Oyeyemi Ayoola, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Internal Audit, who was the Guest Speaker of the day.

Other notable dignitaries included, Honorable Emmanuel Bamigboye (Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government), Honorable Yinka Kazeem P.K.A Esho (Chairman, House Committee on Lands, Lagos State House of Assembly), President Inner Wheel Club Isolo, Mrs Kike Babalola, Past District Chairman, Mrs Aderonke Solomon, Centenary District Chairman, Mrs Omolara Mohammed, and Rotarian Abimbola Oseni, President of Rotary Club of Isolo, amongst others.
The Club, as part of activities for the celebration, extended impactful initiatives to the community.
The beneficiaries included individuals who received palliatives, mothers and children who received care packages, and 20 students who were granted free JAMB forms.
The celebration aimed not only to mark the club’s 100 years but also to impact the lives of those in need through various philanthropic efforts. The theme: “Shine a Light” encapsulated the club’s dedication to making a positive difference in the society.
Hon. Iyabo Ayoola in her speech commended the Inner Wheel Club for their empowerment initiatives and encouraged beneficiaries to emulate the spirit of giving.
She urged other well-meaning Nigerians to partner with NGOs like IWC to enhance humanitarian services.
In her remarks, the Centenary District Chairman, Inner Wheel Member Omolara Mohammed, advised JAMB form beneficiaries to focus on their education and steer clear of negative influences.
Hon. Olayinka Kazeem and Chairman Mushin Local Government, Honorable Emmanuel Bamigboye, expressed appreciation for the club’s ongoing support, emphasizing the importance of utilizing the items received wisely.
Past District Chairman, Inner Wheel Member Aderonke Solomon, advocated for a round table involving NGOs and First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, to discuss collaborative efforts with the government in humanitarian services.
She also encouraged women to join the club in order to foster a spirit of service to the society.
