Ethiopian Airlines, has been honoured with the United States (US) President’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
The airline is also celebrating its 25 years of flying directly to the U.S from its base at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
A statement by the media consultant to the airline in Nigeria, said that this accolade recognised the airline’s outstanding contributions and dedicated service to communities in the United States.

The award, signed by Mr. Joseph Biden, U.S President was presented to Ethiopian Airlines during the eighth Annual Galla Dinner, hosted by the Black IAM organisation at the Hilton Atlanta Airport Hotel.
Ethiopian Airlines continues to set industry standards for excellence, reinforcing its commitment to connecting cultures and fostering international collaboration.
Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Ethiopian Airlines, stated that its commitment to excellence and the spirit of unity had been the driving force behind the airline’s services for almost eight decades.
He maintained that this accolade was not only a recognition of its past efforts, but also a bright beacon for the future, guiding it towards even greater heights in service and connectivity.
“The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our employees, partners, and stakeholders,” he added.
As Ethiopian celebrates this remarkable achievement, it reaffirms its pledge to enhance its services and strengthen its ties with the US community.
As member of the America’s TSA PreCheck program, Ethiopian promised that it would continue to innovate and expand its customer experience, ensuring that passengers enjoyed unparalleled travel experiences.
The airline has also been actively involved in community outreach programs, including supporting educational initiatives, sports, healthcare projects, and cultural exchanges.
