The Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria (EMCOAN) has announced nominees for NEMCEA 2025 “The Awards”, set to take place on September 16th and 17th, 2025, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.
Now in its 4th edition, the Nigeria Electronic Media Content Exhibitions and Awards (NEMCEA) continues to spotlight and celebrate outstanding creativity, innovation, and excellence across Television, Radio, Online, and International content.
This year’s nominees cut across multiple categories, including Drama, Radio Talk Shows, Documentaries, Entertainment, Children’s Programming, Online Platforms, and International Content — highlighting the depth and diversity of storytelling shaping the media landscape today.
Some of the highly anticipated categories include:
- Best Overall TV Drama Series: Closets, Reformed Thief, and We Happy People
- Best Actor: Victor Ifeanyi Aneme (We Happy People), Gabriel Afolayan (Closets), Bukumi Odewunmi (All in Pieces)
- Best Actress: Ronke Odusanya (Closets), Angel Unigwe (All in Pieces), Marvel Bassey (Sands of Time)
- Best Short Film: Parting, African Ordeal Explained in 3 Minutes, and Voice of Hope
- Best Radio Talk Show: Pathway to Jannah, Wives Round Table Radio Show, and Teen Vibes Express
- International Drama Series: Twist of Fate (Zee World), Game of Love (Star Life), Love of My Life (GMA Network), Velvet – El Nuevo (Telenovela)
Beyond the competitive categories, NEMCEA 2025 will also bestow Special Recognition Awards to industry icons, including Mr. Jimi Odumosu, Mr. Olu Jacobs, Mrs. Jibe Ologeh, Ijeoma Onah, NTA, and Radio Nigeria for their trailblazing impact on content, creativity, and social influence.
According to EMCOAN President, Mr. Adeniji Omirin, “NEMCEA 2025 is more than an award ceremony, it is a convergence point for the best minds, talents, and stakeholders in the media and creative economy.
