Chrisland Schools at a joint valedictory service celebrated the class of 2025 in a grand ceremony held on Saturday in Lagos.
The event which had in attendance graduating class of Chrisland Schools in all their secondary schools in Lagos also had in attendance the Founder and Chancellor, Chrisland University, High Chief Dr. Winifred Awosika; His Excellency, Ambassador Adeyinka Asekun, Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to Canada; Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo and Mrs. Phoebe Dami-Asolo, Senior Franchise Director, Coca-Cola and also a distinguished old student, who is also the guest speaker, among others.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director, Chrisland Schools, Mrs. Ibironke Olatokunbo Adeyemi reiterated the school’s commitment to excellence, adding that the graduating students have received world-class education, the best any youth can boast of. “Undoubtedly, they have been empowered to soar and equipped to conquer.

“During the course of their journey in Chrisland, they attended various enriching academic and leadership programmes at local and international levels to boost their leadership and capacity-building skills; they took part in various sports activities and co-curricular programmes.
“Today, we are gathered to thank God, and celebrate these diligent, disciplined and dedicated students as they take a final bow after their successful sojourn in Chrisland,” she added.
Adeyemi recalled the graduates as fresh intakes into Chrisland Secondary School, very young, timid-looking boys and girls but however added that they have now all grown, matured, full of confidence and ready to take on the world.
She thanked the Founder and Chairman, High Chief Winifred Awosika for her unwavering support for the school as well as acknowledging the invaluable support of the Chrisland Advisory Board led by the Chairman, Barrister Ike Ofuokwu; “we appreciate your tremendous contributions to the progress of Chrisland Schools.”
“We are deeply grateful to our esteemed directors for their unwavering commitment and unalloyed dedication to the welfare of our learners over the years. Thank you for always leading with passion; your impact is truly profound.
“To the Executive Head, Local Management and educators of each school, you have done a fantastic job; Thank you for the huge impact you have made in the lives of these incredible learners over the years; you are very much appreciated.”
She congratulated the proud parents of the graduating students for their love and care. “For encouraging them every step of the way; your labour over them will never be in vain.”
Honourable Minister of Interior and Special Guest of Honour, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo in his remarks congratulated the graduates and urged them to identify their purpose early and seek ways to achieve it.
He encouraged them to find answers to key questions including, what is their purpose? How to achieve the purpose? When to achieve the purpose? “You need to have a timeline to achieve success,” he said.
One of the graduating students, Joana Eke speaking on behalf of all the Valedictorians attributed their success to vision, intentionality, and the power of a supportive academic environment.
She said: “Looking back, it feels surreal for us to stand before you today, not just as members of this exceptional graduating class, but as valedictorians privileged to reflect on the collective journey of the Chrisland Schools Class of 2025.
“Each of us comes from different units of Chrisland Schools, but what binds us together is a shared experience of growth, resilience, and excellence.
“Together, we celebrate not only our individual milestones but also the strong sense of unity and purpose that Chrisland Schools Limited fosters across its schools.
She thanked the Founder, Dr. Mrs. Winifred Awosika for her unwavering vision to empower young minds through quality education.
“Our gratitude extends to the Apex Management of Chrisland Schools Limited for sustaining that vision. Same goes for the amazing teachers who never gave up on us, our supportive parents, and every other staff member who contributed to our journey.
“Your dedication to our growth, encouragement, and guidance helped shape us into the young men and women we are today and will be pivotal to who we will become tomorrow.
“Each of us has a story, a journey of struggles, breakthroughs, and self-discovery. Some of us had to overcome initial doubts, battle stereotypes, or make bold decisions about our academic paths.
“But in every Chrisland Schools unit, the message was clear: we were being prepared not just for exams, but for life. And through collaboration, mentorship, and hard work, we discovered our strengths and honed them.” She said.
She added: “From achieving academic excellence to leading teams, organising events, and standing up for our beliefs, we have grown into individuals who are not only ready to take on the world but to shape it.
Admonishing fellow graduating students to dream big, she said: “this isn’t the end so don’t just dream big, dream with a plan. Don’t just start strong, finish stronger.
“Whether you’re pursuing further studies, building businesses, or creating solutions the world hasn’t yet imagined, remember that success is not guaranteed by talent, or even passion, but by the daily decision to keep going. When motivation fades, let discipline be your anchor.
“To our parents and guardians, thank you for being our rock. To our teachers, thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and your high standards. You saw the best in us even when we couldn’t see it ourselves.
“To the management of Chrisland Schools, thank you for creating an environment where excellence isn’t only expected but nurtured. You’ve given us more than an education; you’ve given us confidence, a sense of purpose, and a foundation for our future,” she said.
A total of 327 students which cut across Chrisland secondary schools in Lagos graduated at the event.
